There is less demand for New Zealand brands, on account of chilled beef : from River Plate selling it the same price. Hindquarters are nt and fore- . quarters at 3gd. " Butter.—The market temalns firm, and prospects are favourable. The following arc s the current quotations:—Choicest New Zen-! 1 land, 116/ per cwt (nominal): Danish, 123/; < Argentine, 116/; Canadian, 117/; Siberian, t 10S/. c Cbeose.—The market Is quiet, but firm, : with good demand. Canadian brands are quoted at 61/. Hemp.—The market is rather quiet. Poor I business has been done. The following are ' current quotations:—Good fair grade on spot, £27 10/; fair grade on spot. £2.1: fair , current Manila on spot. £2T{ 10/. October to j December shipments are quoted ns follows: —Good fair grade. £20; fair grade. £23: fair - current Manila. £23 10/. Last week's ootput from Manila amounted to 30,000 bales.
