There was a good attendance at Mr J. Thornes" hind sale to-day, and tbe competition was keen for the allotments in Ponsonby-road. Lot 3, having 59ft lUin in Ponsonby-road by 98ft., was sold for £-00. Lot 1, with shop and dwelling and 31ft to Ponsonby-road, was withdrawn at £950. The three buildings for removal in -Queen-street fetched £17, The allotment and cottage in Unionstreet -was withdrawn at £850.
