SHIPPING DISASTER.
A STEAMER WRECKED. FORTY PEOPLE DROWNED. LONDON, August 24. Advice has been received from Bergen (one of the great seaports of Norway) that the Norwegian steamer Folgefonden stranded at Skaanevik and sank in three minutes. ■ Of the S3 passengers, it is feared that 40 have been drowned. Fifteen bodies have been recovered.
