At the meeting of the Harbour Board yesterday Mr C. C. Dacre expressed his pleasure at having seen thtf Hon. E. Mitchelson in the position of Chairman on the historic occasion of the visit of the American fleet and the opening of the North Island Main Trunk line. There had been universal praise at the excellence of the Harbour Board arrangements during fleet week, and. besides expressing their appreciation of the efforts of the Chairman, he thought they should also thank the actfng-enpjneer, Mt Powell.
