i i A largply-attended meeting of the: members of the Eden Institute was held ' lin the hall at the corner of Dominion i and Valley roads last evening. Mr. H. Burr occupied the chair. The committee appointed to draw up rules submitted a comprehensive list which was adopted with a few amendments. The following 1 officers were elected for the ensuing year: ; Patrons, the Mayor of the Borough of Mount Eden, the member for Eden, and - the member for Grey Lynn; president.! Mr. A. S. Reid; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Burr, R. Potter, Gordon (sanr.), and J. Winters; secretary, Mr. H. Jane; treasurer, Mr. Chapman; committee, Messrs. F. Wood, Murray, Gordon (sen.), Luxford, Wilson, Whelan, Liversedge I j (jun.), and Lindsay; trustees, Messrs. jW. Gray, G. F. Brimblecombe and Avery; auditors, Messrs. Wm. Gray and Gordon (senr.).
