THE STATE AMD THE BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.* WELLINGTON, Thursday. The claims laid before the Prime Minj istrr by the deputation desirous of securj ing better relations between the State and the Bank of New Zealand were as follows: (1) To increase the State's interest in the bank; (2) to provide that the State shareholders shall share equally with the private shareholders in the profits of the bank: (3; and to secure concessions in regard to the charges at present imposed on. those persons using the bank. Dr. Ch.apple. and Messrs. G. Laurenson, H. G. Ell, C. K. Major. F. R. Fl.-itman. A. W. Hosg. E. O. Allen, J. Stallworthy, J. Hanan, D. Buddo. H. Poland, \V. Byrnes, F. M. B. Fisher. J. P. Arnold, C. H. Poole, T. M. Hornsby, and ,1. T. Kogan. Th<? members of the deputation were well pieased by the manner in which ihefr representations were received.
