In view of the fact that the maritime Hieir.i';r.<iip of the V.M.C.A. in America is mj i.ii.v!, the lo«U branch is making all j possible arrangements tor the entertaini ment of the visiting members, and in adI dition to the various concerts to be given, the association is extending the use of its buildings to these gue.= ts. The entertainment ol tlie Savage Club on the Wednesday evening will be given in the Choral Hall, and that of the ■ Orphans' Club ou the Thursday in the 'Federal Hall. With the exception of three or four firms, all the business establishments in j Queen-street are either decorating or illuminating their premises, while a large number are doing both. Arrangements are also in hand for general schemes of decorations for Victoria-street and Short-land-street.
