MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Waihi Beach.—Lowering the water in the Waihi Beach mine has been almost at a standstill during the past week, owing to the bad state of the timbers in the shaft, which had to be removed, so that the tanks may be properly filled. The main water supply was also cut off owing to the dam slipping, and this is now being repaired. Southern Queen. —The stope from the west of the rise Is passing through splendid country, gold being visible the whole distance, nnd a little picked stone was secured. A third stope been commenced, and the reef has shown some nice stone. Whnngape Development.—Work has been commenced by a low level tunnel on the Whakarnwerun block. The reef has been cut and prospects good.
