NEW GOVERNOR-GENERAL
AUDIENCE WITH THE KING. (Received 8.14 a.m.) LONDON, July 14. Earl Dudley, Governor-General-elect of the Commonwealth, was received at an audience at Buckingham Palace, where he took leave of Their Majesties the King end Queen. He sails for Australia, via Canada, in H.M.S. Indomitable, accompanying the Prince of Wales to Quebec, where the new Governor-General represents the Commonwealth at the tercentenary celebrations.
