The annual general meeting of the Remuora branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation was hold last night, Mr. Johns presiding over a good attendance o* members. The branch's financial position was presented by the secretary. The Arbitration Act Amendment was fully discussed, and appeared to the members to be an honest attempt at a settlement of this great question. The constitution was discussed, and several weak points adversely criticised, the branch resolving to continue as at present until the position was further ascertained. The following officers wore elected:— President, W. Johns; vice-president, E. Bond; secretary, Charles Clinkard; treasurer, Robertson: executive committee: Messrs. Rloane McKay, Hoare, Snodgrass, and Scarborough. " Mr. J. B. Berry, whose resignation from the position of secretary was received with regret, was accorded a vote of thanks for liir. services.
