A SNUB TO FRANCE.
GERMANY IN THE EAST. (Received 7.58 a.m.) BERLIN, July 13. The German Government has notified China that Turkish subjects in China will in future be under German protection. France, which has exercised a protectorate for 170 years, was unaware of the change.
