COLLISION IN INDIA.
GREAT LOSS OF LIFE MAKY CARRIAGES BURNED. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright) (Received 8.25 a.m.) CALCUTTA. June 26. A collision occurred to-day between an express train and a passenger and goods train. The express was going at high speed at •the time, and the impact was terrific, ; several carriages being splintered, and their occupants killed or maimed. To add to the horror of the scene the ' wreckage took fire, and many carriages were burned. The loss of life is great, but no reliable estimate has so far been made np.
