APPEAL ON BEHALF OF THE MENTAL HOSPITAL.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you once more allow mc to make my annual appeal to my fellowcitizens for a supply of books, magazines, music, etc., for the patients in the Mental Hospital. There are G94 patients, among whom some can appreciate the highest kind of literature; of course, a very much larger number revel in ordinary magazines, while another , section find source of quiet enjoyment \ in looking at pictures. lam thankful , to receive parcels or single magazines, - or books at my office, in Palmerston i Buildings, while the larger parcels, by ', the kind courtesy of the Northern S.S. ; Co. and the Settlers' S.S. Co., will be , conveyed to mc free; and the _..Z.
