At the mass meeting of Proliibitionists hold at Sir G. Grey's statue on Monday evening last, the following resolutions were carried:—"That this meeting is in favour of the total prohibition of the beverage of liquor; that the Mayor be asked,to use his influence with the trade to refuse to sell intoxicants during the time the American fleet. i 3in Auckland, and thus conform to the Admiral's wishes. ■' Cheap rugs!
