In connection with the presentation offered by Mr. M. H. Walsh, of £ silk Union Jack, for annual competition in military subjects by the public : school cadet corps, a letter was received ,frbih Mr. Walsh, at this meeting of tho Education Board, stating that he had decided to substitute a solid silver shield for the colours, as being more suitable and lasting.
