HAMILTON, this day. At the present time there are about 2CO men composing the second regiment in camp on Major BeTTs farm at Te Rapa. The ground is fine and dry, and good work is being put in. The church parade on Sunday, and an "at home" on the ground were very largely attended by the public. In the Magistrate's Court to-diay, judgment was given in the ease of 11. Shepherd v. J. Choqueel, claim for £50 for breach of contract in connection with the sale of a farm, £20 being awarded with costs. J. Mulqueen was fined £5 andt costs for conducting a registry office without a license. At Morrinsville on Friday night, Maria Tame MacFarlane was presented with the Royal Humane Society's medal for conspicuous bravery in saving the life of J. Grigsby during the floods in 1907. The presentation was made by Mr. Young, and Mr. rferries also paid a glowing tribute to the brave act.
