AUCKLAND LADIES' GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. MISS GORRIE WINS THE FINAL. The final of the Auckland Ladies' Golf Club championship, played yesterday afternoon between Misses Cotter and Gorrie, resulted in a win for MJss Gorrlc by 7 up and 5 to play. The game created a lot of interest, and there was a large number of spectators. Miss Gorrie won the first hole in 5 against Miss Cotter's 7. The second hole was halved in 5. The third hole Miss Gorrie won in 0, and also the fourth. The fifth hole was halved In 5. and Miss Cotter won the sixth in 6: The seventh hole was halved in 7. The eighth and ninth fell to Miss Gorrie, leaving her G up at the turn. Miss Cotter reduced the difference, the 10th hole, but Miss Gorrie won the 11th, making her 6 up again. At the 12th Miss' Gorrie .holing in 3, won the hole and the championship by 7 np and 6 to play.

The Consolation Match resulted as follows:—Miss Martin (handicap 7). C9—o2; Miss C. Draper (20), 83—63. Subsequently the prizes wore presented by the president of the club, Mrs Street.
