Shortlyafter the kick-off Kirkwood scored for the P.T.R., after a neat passing run, the kick at goal failing, and the first spell ended without further score. In the second-half the Waterside Workers attacked strongly on several occasions, but failed to make the most of their opportunities, several scores being thrown away by I over-eagerness, but eventuaUy Donovan j picked up from some loose play, and potted 1 a nent goal, which gave his side the victory. Towards the end of the game the P.T.R. crossed the line, and. from the Press stand, looked to have scored an undoubted try, but the referee ruled otherwise and tho 1 game ended without further score. Mr. Savoury refereed. BUTCHERS V. BAKERS. The game resulted in an easy victory for the Butchers, who ran up 15 points, the 1 scorers iv the first spell being Littlejohn. The backs played very well together, Hunt, Nicholson, and Olsen standing out most prominently H ; Feck, at full-back, had little to do though what came his way gave an idea how sale he is.
