THE COMING SESSION.

OF GOVERNMENT HOUSE. 3IE. BASSET EST "THE jSTTRSERY." P (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WEUJNGTON, Friday. .This morning a visit was paid by the JGnister for Public Works to the temporary Parliament House, and Mr Hall Jones appeared to be well pleased with all' that had been done to fit the building for its purpose. There is every indication that the building wfll be ready to receive our legislators by the time they assemble in Wellington. The Ken Legislative Chamber (formerly the Government House ballroom) is all ready for the reception of members. Only the carpets have now to be laid, and the Windsor chairs put in. The Minister's room is ready, so are those of the speakers, in both Houses. The rooms of other ministers, too, are all ready for occupation. Thai which the Prime Minister will occupy is on the ground floor. It was formerly the Governor's office. Mr Massey's room is available for use. He has been put in the room known as "the nursery." The room of the Leader of the Opposition is on the first floor, and it is well furnished, with ample light and a pleasant outlook on to the gardens. The Press room is undergoing a complete renovation. It was formerly the housekeep. ers room. Lockers are being built into the room for the use of the Press representatives. The Hansard staff will now be given quarters in the kitchen, which -will not now be required, as no cooking will be done by Bellamv'a this session; at any rate, "the kitchen" will be made as comfortable a3 possible for the official recorders of debates. Great expedition has been made with the Bellamy portion of the house. This will be in the old dining-room, which has been partitioned off, providing a .most comfortable lounge. Another lounge will be provided in the Conservatory at the back of the Legislative Council gallery. Every room wfll be occupied, and, numerous as the rooms are, they are not quite equal to the needs of the case.
