Interesting work was done on the course this morning, the plough being very fast, and good times were recorded. I kou_ covered a mile in 1.45, and was too good for Grand Slam. Ancyclc spurted half-a-mUe alone. Pushful and Prtzebloom galloped once round, the former having the best of it at the finish. Niwaru and Espatero finished in that order after a short sprint. Robin Link.was slightly in advance of Berengaria at the end of a five-furlongs' gallop, the last half-mile taking 32 2-ssecs. San Jose and Waipu anished together at the end of a round run in 1.47. BobrikonT was too good for Tarina over half-a-mile. run In oOsees. Seaton Dale. Merry Tiger, and Sir Benson finished in that order at the end of six furlongs. Erl King beat Lamsdorff over a similar ; journey in 1.18. ("arrow got off before Aborigine at the start of a five furlongs' gallop, but thf latter had the best at the finish, the distance being covered in 1.3. Chanteuse and Ahei finished abreast at the end of a short flutter. King Billy covered a mile, alone. In I 1.45. the once round taking 1.41. | Full Cry.
