Interesting work was done on the course this morning, the plough being very fast, and good times were recorded. I kou_ covered a mile in 1.45, and was too good for Grand Slam. Ancyclc spurted half-a-mUe alone. Pushful and Prtzebloom galloped once round, the former having the best of it at the finish. Niwaru and Espatero finished in that order after a short sprint. Robin Link.was slightly in advance of Berengaria at the end of a five-furlongs' gallop, the last half-mile taking 32 2-ssecs. San Jose and Waipu anished together at the end of a round run in 1.47.
