TRADES AND LABOUR COUNCIL.
The Auckland Trades and Labour Council met last evening, Mr. A. Rosser presiding. There were some thirty members present.
Wharf Labourers. —The Minister for Marine (Hon. J. A. Millar), in reply to the Council's request as to provision being made for suitable accommodation for wharf labourers, stated that the matter would receive consideration when the Harbour Boards Bill was being prepared. The letter was received.
Sympathy.—lt was decided to forward letters of sympathy in connection with the recent railway disaster in Victoria, and to Mr. R. Slater, late workers' representative on the Arbitration Court, in regard to the death of his son.
