I It is now practically certain (says the "British Australasian" of February 27) that the defunct Pacific Squadron will be revived, and established stronger than ever to look after British interests in those waters. In May next, or probably earlier, the fourth cruiser squadron, which consists of _the armoured cruisers Euryalus (lying the flag of Bear-Admiral lnglcfield), Sutlej, and Hogue, with a couple of smaller cruisers —all now in the West Indies, or on the way there —will be dispatched to the Pacific, and will be based on Esquimalt, .3.0.
