COROMANDEL.
(By Telegraph.—Own Corrssponuent.) COROMANDEL, Thursday. The funeral of the late Richard Ruffiu look place to-day, and wns largely attended Deceased was a very old and highly respected resident of Corouniudel. A garden party was held this afternoon at the vicarage, to provide requisites for a stall at the forthcoming Anglican bazaar. Each person who attended brought an article of some kind for kitchen use. A prize was given to the person who provided the most useful article, and this was won by Mrs J. Dinize. Several other competitions were held, nnd created much amusement. A musical programme was also gone through, and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent.
