This is a record for March, and, with the exception of January, 1907, a record for any one month. The average m previous years for March was 6 1-3 inches. Bain fell on 17 days. The absolute mean temperature for the month was 61:6 degrees F., the mean maximum temperature being 70.8 degrees, and the mean minimum 52.3- degrees, whilst the mean daily range of temperature was 18.3 degrees. j\ slight frost was recorded on the 17th ult.
