WALHI GRAND .JUNCTION.

£4357 FROM 3375 TONS.

The return from ■ the Waihi Grand Junction mine for the past month's operations was £4357 from 3375 tons of ore treated, making the total to date £101,311. The manager of the Karangahake mine wed this morning: "Discovered reef in ao. I leyel, 2 feet 6 inches wide, allowing blotches of gold in the quartz." MIKE MAJJAGEKS' KEPOKTS. Kirikiri.—The country in tie north drive not quite so good as previously. It is freer from seams. The reef has the appearance of going into the footwaU. if it does it may make an improvement in it, as it will come in contact with the silica formation passed through before. Even the stringers in this free country aU carry good mine, rals. The manager firmly believes that there is a good dab of gold close at hand from the indications that the reef carries. There are some splendid mineral seams in the rise. The winze is full of water again, and will not be interfered with until the connection is close, when it will be bored for. A 6ft hole is being bored in front, because there is 42ft of water overhead. Once through it will be advisable to drive off the winze north, and open up a couple of small blocks, and then get out crushing dirt.
