! When Mr. Northcroft, S.M., took his seat on the Bench at Onehunga this morning, Mr. Wynard, on behalf of the Bar and citizens of Onehunga, extended a hearty welcome to Mr. Northcroft. Air. Wynard said they were all aware of Mr. Northcroft's previous record, and were all pleased to have him in their midst, Mr. Northcroft, in responding, thanked them for their welcome and stated that in future the Magistrates' Court would be -held fortnightly instead of monthly. His record was well known to them all, and he always endeavoured to go straight and not be influenced by anyone.
