HAMPERING INSURANCE COMPANIES.

LONDON, April 2. A deputation representing Various large colonial insurance companies interviewed ! the Board of Trade, urging that companies unable to register in England under the Companies Act should be allowed to hold land -without the inconvenience of getting a license under the Act for each transaction. Mr. H. E. Kearley (Parliament ry Secretary to the Board of Trade), spp Icing on behalf of the President (Mr. Lloyd-George), said that while sympathetic the Board doubted the possibility of legislation to relieve the hampering restrictions referred to this' session, unless the Government were satisfied that there would be no opposition.
