RE DRINKING IN RAILWAY CARRIAGES.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In reply to Key. Mr. Wilson, Baptist minister, I suggest to him the cure for the evil be complains about, ro excess of liquor in railway carriages, is for the Government to re-license the closed refreshment rooms along the lines, and by this means a man will secure his refreshment without taking a quantity into the carriage for the journey. Is it not better to legalise the control rather than prohibit what Nature has provided to use, and so cause men to go to excess? —I am, et«., ' A MODERATE.
