FOOTBALL. TE AWAinjTTJ CLUB. The annual meeting of the Te Awamuta Football Club was held on Saturday night. The balance-sheet showed a credit on hand of £14 odd. The following officers. were elected:—Patron, Mr H. J. Greenslade, M-P.; president. Mr Win. Taylor: sec. and treas., M. West; committee. Messrs R. Cunningham, J. Lawrie, O. Barker, S. West, and J. Dormer; selection committee, Messrs West, Barker, and Cunningham. Mr F. W —ang, M.P., was elected an honorary member of the club. The election of captain was held over. The delegates were instructed, to do their utmost in having the Walpa Union affiliated to the Auckland Lnion. It was decided to support the ■Junior team formation, should the Waipa Union approve of it WAI.KU CLUB. The first annual meeting of the Waiuku Rugby -ootball Union was held on Saturday evening in the Kentish Hotel. After minutes of former club meetings had been read and balance-sheet passed, the chairman, Mr A. M. RUSSELL REGATTA. RUSSELL, Tuesday. The Rnssell Regatta was held to-day in fine weather, there being a very large attendance. FoUowing are the results of the principal events: — Oil Launch Bace, exceedin. five-horse power.—Geisha, 1; Hoha, _; Mermaid, 3. Oil Launch, under five-horse power. Excelsior, 1; Aomai, _. Yacht Race, tuck stern.—Daphne, I.Jessie, 2. Men's Pair Oar.—Banton and 'Edward Cook, 1; Edmonds and Yorke. 2. Boys* Swimming Bace.—Albert Cook, 1: Thos. Nicholson, 2. Roys' Pair Oar Race.—Laurie Williams and Albert Cook, 1: Cross Brothers, 2. Greasy Boom.—Norman Woods, 1. A concert and dance was held in the evening. West's Band, from Auckland, being present CROQUET. The croquet tournament in aid of St Marys Cathedral fund, was continued yesterday, with the following results:—Mrs Easton and Mr Self beat Mrs Reeve and Mrs B. Heather: Miss Herrold and Mrs Court beat Mrs Uptill and Mrs Grelg; Mrs L. Bloomfield and Mrs Friar beat Mrs Foster and Mrs Hanna: Miss Alison and Mrs Moeinie beat Mrs Kathbone and Mrs O. Nicholson; Mrs Watkins and Mrs Clarke beat Mrs Butler and Mrs Frater; Mrs Walker and Mrs Colegrove beat Mr 3 Harvey and Mr Heather. Mrs A. Brown and Miss Philcox beat Miss Dewar and Mrs Bronghton. The tournament will be continued nest Tuesday. HOCKEY. The annual general meeting of the Ponsonby Hockey Clnb takes place In the Lecture Hall. Leys Institute. Ponsonby, thla evenlne at 8 p.m. Mr C. HI Poole, M.P.. president of the club, will preside, and all Intending members and supporters are in, vited to attend. Beware of imitations and adulterations of WOLFE'S SCHNAPPS.
