' In accordance with the provisions -of the Superannuation Act passed last session, the following officers associated with the Lands and Survey Department in Auckland, who have reached the age of 65 and over, retire on superannuatioff as from June 30 next: Mr. W. Tole, draughtsman and surveyor; Mr. KilfoyK titles clerk; Mr. Barnard, draughtsman; Messrs. Bentley and Gibson, clerks. 'Retirements in other places include; Mr. J. E. MarcE, superintendent of village settlements. In ordinary circumstances Mr. Humphries, the Surveyor-General/ would have retired next June, but arrangements have been made, I understand, to retain him in his "present position for another year.
