Our Thames correspondent wires that a young man named Magnire was charged with an offence against the game laws by shooting ducks at Kerepehe. The evidence was contradictory, and the case was dismissed. Rev. Father O'Donnell, who arrived by the Talune this morning, is a brother of Sister Ligouri, of St. Benedict's Convent, and a class-mate of Rev. Fathers Farthing and Doyle. Since his ordination in Dublin last June, Father O'Donnell has been touring Ireland, France, Italy, and America, and it is likely that the reverend gentleman will give some lectures on his travels before leaving the Dominion. A movement is on foot to establish in the Auckland Province a Dairy Factory Secretaries' Institute on the same lines as the Institute which has been for some years in existence in the southern portion of' the North Island and a similar institute recently formed in Melbourne.
