'— < REMUERA ROAD BOARD. The Remuera Road Board met last evening. Present: Messrs J. S. Dickson (chairman), C. A. Cawkwell, E. Bond, and J. Dempsey. Complaint—lt was. decided to write to -the- Parnell Council drawing attention to a complaint from a resident of Remuera as to an alleged nuisance on the district's boundary- at the foot of Ayr-street. Water Trough-—ln accordance with a suggestion from Mr. L. M. Porter, secretary of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Board decided to place a water trough near the corner of Orakei-road. Post-office.—The Chairman reported that the Prime Minister had been unable to inspect the .proposed sites ,far a new postoffice on his recent visit, but that this , would be done ou his ne_t visit North.
