SOUTH AUCEXANT> RACING CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING. Tbe concluding day's racing of the South Auckland Eacing Club's Annual Meeting took place on the Ciaudelands racecourse on Sat'iird;iv last. The weather was beautiful, and there was a large attendance, which included a number of visitors from Auckland and surrounding districts. Although the attendance was good, speculation was only fairly brisk, the machines under Messrs W. Blomneld and Co. handling the sum of. £1723 10/, which, added to the amount bandied on the opening day, makes a total of £277S for the gathering. In addition to the machine investments. 8 bookmakers paid the fee on the first day and 11 on the second, the amount received from this source totalling £199 10/. Mr Rowland officiated as judge, and Mr C. O'Connor as starter, the latter gentleman being much nearer his form than on the opening day. The racing throughout was ranch above the average usually seen at country meetings, and the hnndicapper, Mr It. Wynyard. scored a distinct success, only one favourite being successful during the day.
