LATE RACING.

SOOTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.

The weather is" beautiful for the second day's racing of South Auckland Racing Club's annual meeting. There is a large attendance. Results:— Couuty Handicap, 7 furlongs.—Mr F. G. Worsp's Powhiri, 7.8 (Whittaker), 1; Fremantle, 7.6 (Brown), 2; Nulla Nnlla, S.O (Buchanan), 3. Also started: Rosavere and King. Fremantie was early in the lead, and made the running to the distance, where Powhiri joined issue, and a great race home resulted, the last named gaining the verdict by a neck. Time, 1.39. Rosavere was favourite. Shorts Handicap, five furlongs.—Mr J. Hanuon's Miss Crispin, 8.0 (Brady), 1; Frederick, 7.10 (Lindsay), 2; Freebird, 6.12 (Brown), 3. Also started: Wauchope, Lady French, Flint Island, and Maid of the Forest. Miss Crispin took charge after they had gone a furlong, and was never afterwards headed, winning at the finish by a length and a half. Time, 1.7 4-5. Wauchope was favourite. Waikato Handicap, one mile.—Mr. W. G. Irwin's Lochbuie. 8.4 (Ryan), 1; Lady Hune, 8.8 (C. Brown), 2. Also started: Montigo, Leonator, Certainty, Lord Seaton, Dardanus. Lochbuie was quickest on his feet, and, joined by Dardanns, the pair made the running to the entrance to the straight, where the field closed up. In the run to the post the whips were out all round, and a desperate race home was witnessed, Lochbuie snatching a victory by a head from Lidy Hune, which was about a similar distance in front of Montigo, Certainty, Dardanns and Lord Seaton, the judge being unable to place a third. Time 1.49. Certainty was favourite. ENGLISH RACING. (Received 11.1 a.m.). LONDON. March 27. The Liverpool Grand National race meeting resulted: — Major F.
