NATIVE CASES.
At the last sitting of the Nativ< Court, which is hearing' the dispute as to the will of Mini Kiwi, a native w man who died, three years ago, an ad , journmeiit was made until r to-day to enable further evidence to be brought on behalf of Mr. Henare £aihau, M.P. When the Court resumed this morning, Judge Edgar announced that he had received a telegram from Mr. Kaihau asking that* the case stand adjourned, he being engaged in important business ai; Ngaruawahia, the importance of tMs business being vouched for by the Hon. Jas. ■ Carroll, Native Minister. It be necessary to adjourn the further hearing of the case until Friday afternoon next. "..'.' •_
Regarding the partition of the Te Akau Block, which ha-e been proceeding for some time, and which is partially completed, the Judge mentioned that he had received a telegram from the Chief Judge in Wellington, stating that 'it wou.ld be desirable to accede to the request of several parties that the future hearing should be adjourned to Ngaruawahia; His Honor ; stated that he had been willing from fhe beginning of the case to hear it either here or at Ngaruawahia, as the parties desired, but until the present he had been assured that the:!city suited; the parties better than Nga'ruawahia. Under the circumstances he -would adjourn the case to Ngaruato resume immediately the Court opens there. •
