[Mr. Henry Farman, son of a British newspaper correspondent in Paris, began his series of - remarkable successes with his "heavier-than-air" machine on October 26, when he traversed a distance of nearly half, a mile in 53 seconds. A great feature in all Mr. Farman's experiments has been his complete control over the aeroplane, enabling him to make a circular course almost as easily as to fly a straight course. Other experimenters with" heavier-than-air machines who are worth watching are M. Vuia. (40 or 50 feet), M. de la Grange (60 yards), and M. Bleriot (nearly 200 yards).]
