OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEKOA, Thursday. A special meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council was held this afternoon, when the following tenders were accepted: Forming portion of Victoria-street Waikino, P. Sheehan, £127; forming Polandstreet, Waiklno, P. Sheehan, £S4- forming and gravelling road from Post Office to public school, Paeroa, M. Goonan, £94; re-forming and metalling Opotito-road Paeroa, P. Treanor, £97 8/; timbering drain, Morrison's landing road, M. Gojack, £90; re-forming and improving portion of PaeroaTe Aroha-road, H. McCormick. £35; improving portion oi: Goldflelds track to Willows ,T. M. Richards, £19 19/6; improving outfall drain, Pacroa—Hikutaia-road to Robinson's, T. Lncas, £S0; supply ■ and erection of strong room at County Chambers, Paeroa, James N. La very. £156 11/4; improving Komata outfall drain, J. F. Brown, £100; forming road and fencing to New Bridge at Hitutaia. T. C. Pennell, £315 10/6. It was resolved that the various ridings and boundaries remain as previously decided, that Alley Rros. be offered the present valuation on three acres of land taken for road purposes. It was decided to spend £400 on the Waihi Beach-road, towards which work £200 have been Rrauted by the Government, and £100 each by the Ohinemuri Council and Waihi Borough Council.
