» •'7' : -i:-.,. LONDON WOOD SALES. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from London:— ' "The wool sales have opened. There is a large attendance of buyers. " The -wool offered is an indifferent selection, and competition is dull. Merino prices have declined from 5 per cent to 10 per cent below the closing rates of the last sale. Scoured merino, burry and seedy, neglected. Of fine crossbred wools hardly any have been offered up to the present. Medium and coarse crossbred prices have declined 15 per cent. The New Zealand Loan and ■Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London House:— '"Wool. As compared with last sales' closing rates, prices are about 71 per cent to 10 per cent lower for merino, and 10 per cent to 15 per cent lower for crossbred. Bidding inactive." LONDON CABLE. (Received 11.42 a.m.) LONDON, March 18. Wool: There Is fair competition for all ■ sorts at opening rates. Wheat: The American visible supply is 54.008,000 bushels. At the tallow sales 1020 casks were offered, and 579 sold. Prices advanced 6d. FROZEN MEAT. -. : (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) f NAPIER, this day. The C.C. and D.
