As there seemed to be some delay in the matter, it had been.-thought weU to call .this'ineev, ing, with the object oi pushing on the project. The following resolutions .were-v) passed unanimously: — (J) " That this meeting of residents of Edendale district would urge upon the Board of Education (Auckland), the necessity of taking jmnie-: diate steps to secure a school site lor Edendale, and of so pushing on the .mat-; : ter that the school may be erected and. ready for occupation immediately after the "mid-winter holidays of-1908." (2) " That this meeting Trpuldiuxge .upon the Minieter for Education the necessity of making immediately a sufficient Vgrant towards the erection of. a new Public School at Edendale."
