OTAHUHU ITEMS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A very successful social was held in the Public Hall ou the 14th inst., in connection with the Koinan Catholic Chnrch bazaar. Levy's string baud provided dance music. The members of the Otahuhu Eoad Board met on Saturday to decide where the newgas "lamps should be placed, and they chose the following positions:.— Nixon's Monument, corner of Great South-road and Fair-burn-street: Luke Memorial, Star Hotel corner: corner of High and Church-streets; Post Office: corner of Princess-street and Great South-road: corner of Main-street and Great South-road: on Station-road. It was also decided to ask the Railway Department to subsidise for one at the station sates.
