HARBOUR BOARD.
The Harbour Board met this afternoon. Present: Messrs G. W. Basley (.Acting Chairman), W. J. Napier, A. Keyes, W. E. Hutchison, C. C. Daere, H. Bradney, J. Kneen, J. B Maefcrlane, H. Heather. Report.—The following recommendations of the Eoard-in-Committee were adopted:— Letter from Waitemata County Council as to counterpoise stage, Northcote wharf, and engineer's report thereon, considered, resolved: "'That a sub-committee be set up, consisting of Messrs Napier. Keyes. Maefa rlane, and Capt. MeKenzie, to inquire Into the whole matter of eonnterpoise stage 3 at No'-theote and Birkechead, and to report as to present contract for additions to Korthcoto wharf. Letter from the Birkenlu>ad pnrough Council as to licensing p.s. Takapuna, and Harbourmaster's report thereon, considered, resolved: "That copy of the Harbourmaster's report be forwarded to tie Bifkenhead Borough Council." Erection of wharf, etc., at O'Neill's Point. Considered, resolved: "'That consideration of the matter t>e deferred until further communication has been received from the Takapuna Tramways and Ferry Co., Ltd."
