IRISH NATIONALISTS.
Tie Suggested Unification. . LONDON, January 4, Mr William O'Brien, Nationalist member for Cork City, describes as an absolute untruth the statement that he made proposals to transfer to a committed of three the arrangements in connection with the meeting of the Irish Parliamentary party and National Directory. He explained that he proposed that the Directory alone should convene the meeting, but that with a view to commanding confidence all sectional and mechanical arrangements to carry out the. Directory's regulations should be entrusted to three secretaries. Mr O'Brien adds that he merely suggested the names of Messrs. Harrington and Devlin and Father Clancy, two of whom represented Mr J. E. Redmond's own party. Mr Redmond's objections had been vented since then for the purpose of extracting himself from a dilemma.
