A queer story of three children having been carried off by an ape comes from Haumout (says the Brussels con-espoudeut of the "Moriiiug Advertiser"), where for some time some trainers of bears and monkeys have been established. When the children were missed, a search was made, and they were found In a barn under the care of an old ape, who assumed a menacing attitude when an attempt was made to rescue the children. In the course of the struggle for the little ones, several persons were injured.
