HOCKEY.
THE SHIELD WON BY AUCKLAND.
The local Hockey Association received .1 telegram from their Christchurch delegate last night announcing that at a meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association the shield presented by that body to the team having the best record for the season in New Zealand had been awarded to Auckland. The shield is a challenge one, and any team challenging -will have to play Auckland on their ?wn around. -
