A.E.C. SPRING MEETING. Final payments for the Welcome Stakes and Birthday Handicap, and acceptances for the Presidents' Handicap, Shorts Handicap, I-lobson Handicap, Flying Handicap, Hunt Club Cup, and Hunt Club Hurdles, to be run at the A-R.C. Spring Meeting, close with the secretary (Mr J. F. Hartland) to-day at 9' p.m. AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB'S SPRING MEETING. The opening day's racing In connection with the Auckland Trotting Club's Spring Meeting takes place at Alexandra I'arK to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon. The acceptances received for the various events ore considerably ahead of those of former years, and a highly interesting day's sport should be witnessed. At the opening gathering of the season, the form of the horses has to be taken a good deal on trust, but the following are suggested as likely to run forward in their respective engagements:— Maiden Trot — Mack or Tuston. Onehunga Handicap — Octoroon or Waihou. Spring Trot — Huon Leal or Duke C. Middle-class Trot — Flora Mac or Little Paul. Stewards' Trot — Robex or Taihoa. Experimental Trot — Waitekauri or Agnes B. October Handicap — Hughie or Franleln. Electric Trot — Princess Ena or Miss Wilson. The first race is timed to start at 1.15 p.m., and a special tram service will convey visitors to the course.
