WHANGAREI NEWS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGARBI, Thursday. The members of the National College of Music held their fourth annual concert last night. There was a good attendance, and the concert was highly appreciated. Messrs Hunter and Wilson report that at the clearins sale of Mr R. Hawken's dairy herd, satisfactory values were realised. The cows and heifers were a good lot, and sold from £4 10/ to £9 2/. Year old heifers realised £3 10/. A line of choice yearling heifers went for £2 15/; and sows for £2ilO/. District Secretary, Bro. J. McLeod, and P.P.O.Jβ Bro. W. Thomas, arrived in Whangarel from Auckland this morning, to assist at the opening ceremony in connection with the Oddfellows' buildings.
