• ITo the Buttor.) Sir,—Referring to the interesting article under the heading "Gifts and Givers/ I would like to mention that the gifts of the late Wm. Arrowsmith to Auckland institutions (apart from several legacies to friends) were as follows: — Orphan Home, Parnell, £11,212; Women's Home, Parnell, £11,212; Roman Catholic Orphanage, £500; Helping Hand Mission, £500; Ladies' Benevolent Society, £1000.
