WAIHI NEWS.
(By. Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Wednesday. A meeting of junior cricketers, over which Mr H. Cutforth presided, resolved to form a junior club to be called the Waihi City Junior Cricket Club. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Dr. Craig; vicepresidents, Messrs T. M. Pattullo, Dr. Robertson, P. Mclnerney, and John Kelly; hon. secretary and treasurer, L. E. Glass. The names of 23 intending members were ready, and three members present guaranteed the necessary money for the purchase of cricketing requisites. Mr Zenovitch was appointed captain, and Mr H. E. Rea vicecaptain. St. Joseph's bazaar was well patronised again last night, when the drawing for several valuable prizes took place, the following being successful: Mr F. Quinn, Mr Pecock, Mr Stafford Clark, and Mr J. Carroll. The Auckland entertainment party have been very successful in their conVery little interest appears to be taken in the movement for the establishment of a technical school.
