TUI MINE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, this day. In regard to the Tui mine at Te Aroha the information has been received that arrangements have been made to float Group mines at Te Aroha by a Napier syndicate. It is proposed by them to instal an aerial tramway from old Tui mine to Te Aroha township, and it is the opinion of experts that ore can be treated by the Ferguson Sydnicate or similar plant. PROSPECTING FOB. COPPER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Wednesday. Mr S. A. Shaw, the well-known prospector, is at present on a visit to Waihi. He has been recently engaged in prospecting, on behalf of a Napier syndicate, a property next to the Maharahara Copper Company's ground. It is stated that a large lode has been cut. WAIHI EAST. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) This property is being floated .by . a Napier syndicate. Mr Thos. Johns, late manager of the Waihi Extended Mine, is in charge of the operations. WARDEN'S COURT. {By Telegraph.—Own CorresDondent-l PAEHOA, Wednesday. At the Warden's Court this morning, the following applications were granted:—H. J. Hyde. New Shotover claim of 99 acres at Karangahake: A- Leask, residence site, Owharoa;~A. Stewart, residence site, Karangahake: Comstock United Co., Ltd., permission to work with three men for six months; M. Neillie, residence site. Mackaytown. An application by Robert Stackpole for the Talisman South special claim was recommended to the Minister. Sur- ! renders were accepted as follows: —Ellen Barrett, residence site license; J. S. Hope, two residence sites, E. W. Hope, residence site; H. Elliott, residence site. Two applications by B. Y. c. Short and A. T. >yallcn were made for the Komata Extended claim. Short's claim was first lodged. !Mr Moresby appeared for Mr Allen, but there was no appearance for Short. As the claim was previously held by John McDonald, now dead, the Warden ruled that j opportunity roust be given to his wife to lodge an obisction, and so adjourned the application.
