EFFECT OF THE JUDGMENT.

The effect of the decision in the appeal case heard at Wellington, «S ar <f = the Waitoa road's, appears to be that the local bodies have succeeded on w general question that the roads on n» Waitoa Estate are not public roads, «w therefore must be formed at *««• tho Bank of New Zealand, wtoMl taken over the property from the Assew Board. With regard to the particular, transaction on which tta P«« were based, the Court has held that* public road is not necessary for tne i gWration of a title.
